More about Chris and the Universal Method
Throughout childhood, I was highly creative and inventive, from paper to Lego to steel, from selling supercar drawings for lunch money in grade 2 to designing one-person submarines to creating business logos.
I also had a deep curiosity about human behaviour and why things happen the way they do. From an early age, I had a reasonable ability to notice seemingly hidden connections, which helped me create forward-thinking solutions that surprised and delighted others.
But then my mid-20s hit. The big problems I'd built in my past snowballed over the decades ahead. Different scenarios, same problems. I didn’t realise how much I’d drifted from my real self until I found myself in some very dark holes. At times, the pain and frustration were overwhelming.
Then, I finally reached the point where I'd had enough. My pain and fear of continuing life that way became greater than my fear of doing the hard work to change my life.
Vowing never to relive those experiences, I restored my creativity and pattern-seeking curiosity. I ventured down hundreds of paths, determined to uncover how I had built the mess I was in and how to solve it.
Every time a big answer from science or another problem-solving approach seemed to offer a solution, I pressed deeper to understand why. I spent thousands of hours studying and experimenting.
As the months and years went by, a hidden pattern of flaws in human knowledge of cause and effect emerged. Those flaws illuminated what was missing, and that missing information revealed the Universal Method to me.
The Universal Method is not part of current human knowledge, so it needs more than a few paragraphs on a page to help you make sense of it. But anybody can learn the Universal Method and benefit enormously.
